Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) is providing the opportunity for students to participate in the Daring to Care Program during the summer. The program is designed for students from 15 to 18 years of age seeking the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through volunteer work. Students in this program will be given the opportunity to job shadow with staff from various healthcare fields within the hospital and clinic. There is a requirement of 10-15 hours of interactive class time to learn the basics of volunteering in the healthcare setting. Students will also obtain American Heart-saver First Aid CPR AED Certification. Once students have completed the classes, they will be enrolled in a Volunteer/ob Shadowing rotation and provided a scrub top to wear. Hours earned during this course can be used towards the 30 hours of Community Service required by Windsor High School for graduation! The deadline for applying is May 22, 2017.
