Mt. Ascutney Hospital & Health Center - DARING TO CARE Program!

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) is happy to announce the updated Daring to Care Program will be starting in October of this year.  The program is designed for students from 15 to 18 years of age seeking the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through volunteer work.  They will also offer the opportunity to job shadow with a focus on healthcare careers that involve certification or 2-year study at a community based college.

There will be 15 hours of interactive class time to learn the basics of volunteering in the healthcare setting.  Students will have the chance to earn their American Heart Association Heart-saver First Aid CPR AED certification  Once students have completed the classes, they will be enrolled in a Volunteer/Job Shadowing rotation and provided a scrub top to wear.
